Yoga for spinal problems
Yoga therapy and mediyoga can give relief to cervical spondylitis, back pain, slipped disc and sciatica. It is important to create a special programme depending on the issues, as a programme for back pain would not solve issues related to for example slipped disc. Nevertheless, we find the Vajrasana series to be a good first step for most of the problems related to the spine.
Certain asanas and breathing techniques can be very useful in with regards to the spine problems. In addition, we advice our patients to use massage the hurting joints with sanjeevan oil when in pain. That would decrease the pain. In addition, as per most diseases, we advice to avoid non vegetarian food, as well as fried and very oily food.
